What is Scrip?
When you purchase scrip from the Tarpon Springs Band Boosters, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates that are used just like cash. Scrip is like substitute money; the scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where your family already shops. These merchants want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with scrip at their stores. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, we earn revenue for the Leadership and Music Conservatory!

You pay face value plus a very small handling fee (35 cents per $100 face), and you get the full face value at the retailer; the Leadership and Music Conservatory receives a percentage of the face value in the transaction which is completely transparent to you.
