It has been said that the longest journey, begins with a single step.
The starting line…is the most important challenge in life.

To succeed, I must have respect: I must not only respect the distance and the challenge, but I must respect the others who dare run the race with me.

Ultimately, I run the race that satisfies my soul.

I realize it is man against himself, the cruelest of opponents.

As I turn this corner, I realize that I am not to FEAR my opponents! Rather, I must defeat the FEAR inside of me!

There is no trophy or ceremony for being the person you want to become. I realize that winning is about the struggle, the effort, and optimism, and never, ever, ever, giving up.
