Make a gift

All gifts, no matter the size, make an impact in the lives of students and in the future of the Leadership Conservatory for the Arts.

The Tarpon Springs Leadership for the Arts curriculum teaches students the skills of analysis and synthesis where students are encouraged to cross boundaries and are guided, with creativity and imagination, to be the most they can be.

Financial support of the Conservatory for the Arts Instrumental and Dance programs is critical to sustaining excellence in all aspects of the magnet.

During their tenure, students are prepared to become the best versions of themselves. Once that principle is set as the expectation, extraordinary things become possible. A by-product of performing at such a high level is learning how to: develop a goal; be committed to a cause; offer and garner support to and from those around you; and reach out into the community to become part of something larger than yourself.

Tarpon Springs High School is in the School District of Pinellas County, Florida. Enrollment is approximately 1,400 students, nearly half of whom qualify for free/reduced lunch. The Outdoor Performance Ensemble is comprised of approximately 220 students.

Tarpon Springs is honored to compete on Regional and National levels. Students quickly learn that the honor of inclusion in such high-level performance opportunities is neither to be taken lightly nor does it come free. During the 2017-2018 school year, students traveled to and participated in the Bands of America Atlanta Super Regionals, graced the time-honored stage of Carnegie Hall, participated in the World Guard International Winter Guard World Competition in Dayton, OH and performed in the world renowned Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in Orlando.

The instructional staff and directors of the Leadership Conservatory for the Arts teach far beyond substantive music education. The students learn that due to the lack of funding for arts in education anything great is worth putting forth the effort. Therefore, although numerous individual fundraising opportunities are available to every student, the boosters frequently organize and host major fundraisers throughout the calendar year to assist and defray costs so no student is deprived of the opportunity to participate.
